Dr. Micah Allen is proud to be accepted as an authorized medical practitioner with the Veterans’ Administration new Veteran Community Care Program through Optum to provide acupuncture services to our men and women in the Armed Forces. What To Expect
It is our primary objective to help you reach your healthcare goals and to experience a better quality of life.
Veterans Community Care Program - Optum Eligibility:
You may be eligible to receive care through the Veterans Community Care Program administered by Optum based on one or more of the following conditions:

VA can’t provide the services you need

VA can’t make an appointment for you at the nearest VA medical facility within 30 days of the clinically indicated date (the date you and your VA provider agree should be the next date you are seen for care)—or, if VA can’t determine this date—the date you the Veteran prefer to be seen next

You live more than 40 miles (driving distance) from the nearest VA medical facility with a full-time primary care physician

You have to travel by air, boat, or ferry to get to the nearest VA medical facility

If you face an excessive burden in traveling to the nearest VA medical facility (such as geographic challenges, environmental factors, or a health problem that makes it hard for you to travel)
VA will work with the you to determine eligibility based on the above conditions and the your specific circumstances. You can also check if you’re eligible by visiting VA Benefits and Health Care website.

Follow These Simple Steps Below To Enroll For Our Services:

Schedule an appointment with your primary healthcare physician at the VA. Tell your medical doctor (MD) you would like acupuncture for your condition and give him/her my name and contact information.

The MD at the VA will contact my office with an authorization code and number of treatments allowed.

Go to the referral request section below

Take a few minutes to fill out the information on the VA Community Care Network Referral Request form and hit ‘Submit’. Then we will have all the information we need to complete your paperwork. It’s that simple!
